The OHSS (Okanagan Hare Scramble series) is structured so that we have a morning race, lunch time Pee Wee race and then our afternoon race which consists of the Pro’s, Experts, Intermediates, Vet Expert’s, Sr. Experts, Vet Open and our Super Vets. The OHSS morning race is for the following classes: Vet Am, Sr. Am, Ladies, Jr. Over / Jr. Under and 85 cc (small wheel). Our 50 cc and 65 cc classes provide exciting race entertainment at lunch time. The OHSS format is set up so that there is a class for every member of the family and every skill level as our morning race is held on the “B” course and our afternoon race on the “A” course. The 2012 OHSS race series is here and we would like to announce the new changes to the series.
1 – There is a new OHSS electric bike class that will race on the B loop in the morning.
2 – If there is a rider on a 65cc bike that would like to race on the B loop then they can if a guardian rides with them. The guardian must sign up for the race and wear a high visibility vest. The guardian will help the rider with potential obstacles that may cause a hold up on the race course.
3 – The OHSS entry fee for the morning and afternoon race is $40. The pee wee entry fee is $10.
4 – All bikes will be checked at every race to ensure compliance with the 96db rule. Spark arrestors will also be checked. Riders that fail these requirements will be recorded. They will get one warning and will have to comply by the next race.
5 – The OHSS pro class will be paid out at every race this year.
Check back for any new updates and be sure to add OHSS group on Facebook to stay informed.
